Alive for the first time in 10 days!

















Coming out of my cave finally after being sick for way too long. I am so glad I am feeling more like myself today. I am ready for spinning class and ready to work my butt off (literally). Not sure if I want to weigh-in tomorrow. I don't think I have gained, but not sure I have lost either. I haven't been keeping track of points while I have been sick. What a naughty girl I am! Time to start again. I feel good and energized. This will be a good day. The mountains are so beautiful and the clouds are lifting over the valley. I really live in a beautiful place.

Curse you, Flu Bug!


I have been sick for a week now and not loving it. I was starting to feel better yesterday and went to church and then woke up feeling even worse than the sickest day last week. I went to the doctor and have a sinus infection, ear ache, and nasty cough. I am finally on an antibiotic and hopefully will bounce back quickly. I don't like missing my workouts. I was in such a good place with work-outs and strength training and dieting. I am determined to get back to it! We are babysitting a sweet little Yorkie for 10 days named, Moxie. She is cute and loves to just sit on your lap for hours and snuggle. Here is her picture: I think she looks like an Eewock from Star Wars. :)

Yeah Me!










I lost one more pound this morning. I am so excited that the weight is coming off. It makes me more and more motivated to eat well. Running today at the gym with my TRI class. Everyone around me seems to be coming down with a cold. Little Ashley kept coughing/sneezing all night- and I know this because she comes into our bed around 4:00 every morning. Then I get physically abused by her feet, legs, arms, ect. until I end up going into her bed until the alarm gets all the kids up for school. It is really pleasant. I thought this phase was supposed to end around 2 yrs old but now she is 4 and still at it. Any idea how I make her stay in her room? My other two never did this. Her room is the farthest away from mine and I think she gets scared. Anyway, we are going to make it a good day and maybe take a nap later this afternoon. We are enjoying scrapbooking together while she takes a sick day at pre-school. Here are our layouts. Ashley was very creative with her "Love" page and made a necklace on it! :) She is a fun girl.

The cutest face you have ever seen!


Here is a picture of our sweet Sophie. She is about 5 months old and is a Yorkie/Prague Ratter mix. She is Milo's half Sister.(They have the same Mom) She is growing and is 2 lbs now! Wow she was small when we first got her, but is doing great now.
Ashley and I went bike riding yesterday so that I could check out my new clip-in pedals. It was hard at first and then after a while I got the hang of it. We ventured to the park where I was behind Ashley on a hill and forgot to un-clip and fell straight over. Luckily we were in a part of the park where no one could see me. I just got a minor scratch on my knee. I hope that is the first/last time that happens! I had a good hour swim with my triathlon class last night. Nana was sweet to let little Bruno spend some time with her while I was at the gym. He had a great time. I lost another 2 lbs this morning on the scale. I am counting my points for weight watchers which seems to be making a huge difference at the scale. Last week I got my blood work done to make sure that my thyroid, blood sugar, and everything else was good. They said all my levels are normal. I am sooo relieved. I am one medication down now and just need to keep going so that I can get off the other 2! Here is a picture of my fancy new bike with the arrow bars and clip-in pedals.

The weight is coming off!

I am soo excited! I lost 4 lbs at my Saturday weigh-in at weight watchers. I had lost 2 lbs the week before, and this morning lost another 2 since Sat! I am soo excited. That means I am down 8 lbs since the 1st of January. I am working out a ton and trying to do cardio for a full hour to really burn a lot of fat. I am also lifting weights, swimming, and biking to train for my Tri in May. Today I start a group training course that will swim, bike and run three days a week. I hope to build up my core strength for the next 12 weeks. I took my bike into the shop and ended up getting arrow bars and clip-in pedals(I am a sucker). I am sooo nervous to try out my new clip-in pedals! I don't want to get stuck in them and fall over on the side of the road like an idiot. :) I guess I will stick to the driveway until I feel comfortable. Wish me luck!
Lexi's season for cheerleading competitions started a couple of weeks ago. They won their first competition and are competing again this Saturday. She skipped two levels this year and is on a level 4 team out of 5. It has been tough doing this difficult of stunts/pyramids and they have pushed them hard on their tumbling. Alexis is progressing so well and we are proud of her.

TGIF



Thank goodness its Friday everyone! Made it through the week eating healthy and working out. Had a good run yesterday. Ran 3 miles and did some ab work. Went to lunch with my Aunt Cheryll and we sat next to Ryan DiLello from "So You Think You Can Dance." He is the married one who's Wife competed with him that is from Provo. He was super nice and we complimented him a ton. Loved last season- thought he was the most masculine dancer of the bunch. I love to dance and it is fun to watch as well. Just one more motivation to lose the weight and have my dancer body back! :)This is a picture from the last time I went on Weight Watchers about 2 yrs ago. Good motivation.

Go Jazz!


Went to the Jazz game with Bruno IV, Alexis, and Bruno V last night. It was their first game. We had a lot of fun and the Jazz won! Unfortunately that meant that I didn't get my workout in and so it is double duty today. My weight was the same today. I guess that is a triumph if you don't gain! :) I am motivated to fit into some cute jeans. My favorite Weight Watchers quote: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Have a great day.
